The 1794-OB8 is an Allen-Bradley Digital Output Module powered by direct current and it is part of the FLEX series. It is used to connect the field devices to the I-O bus and this module is intended to be installed inside the terminal bus. Due to this module having no direct wiring, modules can be introduced and withdrawn while they are powered. As a result of this, this module saves time and eliminates the inefficiencies of a system restart. This module has a total of eight current sourcing outputs. It also features a nominal 24 volts DC On-State output voltage. From off to on, it has a maximum output delay of 0.5 milliseconds, and from on to off, it has a maximum output delay of 1 millisecond. 3.3 Watts at a voltage of 31.2 Volts DC is the max power dissipation. It is compatible with various TBKD TBUs. Ten Volts to 31.2 Volts DC is the required power supply externally, with a ripple of 5% that is AC and a current of Ten milliamperes to 35 milliamperes. Popping into position on a DIN-rail is all that is required. Each channel on the 1794-OB8 module features yellow LED status indicators that are 16 in total, for each input device and output signal, one. It also includes XT versions of common modules for use in harsh locations, lowering panel and maintenance costs. The working temperature of this module is Zero to Fifty-Five degrees Celsius, with a non-condensing relative humidity of Five to Ninety-Five percent.
