Used in feedback control systems for hazardous load isolation, the 100S-C60DJ14BC is a safety IEC contactor. This contactor can switch a maximum load current of 60 amperes at an AC-3 motor rating or 100 amperes at an AC-1 motor rating. The power rating of AC motors supported by the 100S-C60DJ14BC is 18.5 kilowatts at 230 volts AC or 32 kilowatts at 690 volts AC (3-phase supply, 60 hertz). The safety contactor's primary purpose is to open a circuit to protect the entire control system from any kind of hazardous load. The 100S-C60DJ14BC is part of the feedback control system. All the contacts in the contactor are mechanically linked. The contacts are front-mounted and have screw terminals for easy wiring. Always wire a high-power device when it is not functioning to avoid injury. 

A panel box is required for mounting this module. The maximum height according to the manufacturer is 3000 meters, or 9800 feet. To prevent accidental touches on the auxiliary terminals, the contactor comes with IP2X protection. For resistance against shock, the 100S-C60DJ14BC contactor is IEC60068 rated.
