The 140M-C-AFA11 is an auxiliary contact for motor protection circuit breakers. This device is part of 140M family of products that were manufactured by Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley. It is typically used as a secondary switching device in combination with primary switching devices such as contractors, breakers, switches, and relays. This product is commonly used in push button controllers, where it can be changed into the start button. Auxiliary contacts are connected to the main contacts of the breaker, and it is there that they change the state of the main contact. Normally, auxiliary contacts have a range of mounting styles including front mounting and DIN rail mounting. They also have a variety of termination types, including screw terminals, screw clamp terminals, cage clamp terminals, etc., thus, making it easier to locate the proper contact for the job. These auxiliary contact blockers are used in relay logic circuits, solid state electronic devices, electrical motors and some other industrial control applications. They transfer the data from the circuit to a logic controller, which further guides the interconnected devices to either turn on or turn off. These auxiliary contacts can also function as a stand-alone hardware control unit. Only one (1) auxiliary contact is used per device or a circuit breaker. They are mechanically operated as they are electromechanical devices. This product has a total of two (2) contacts. This device can be mounted from the front side. One (1) contact of this device is normally open (N.O.), while the other contact is normally closed (N.C.).

It is an auxiliary contact breaker, a product by Allen Bradley named 140M-C-AFA11. This device acts as an inner auxiliary contact blocker. It is usually employed as a secondary switching device in combination with primary switching devices like contactors, breakers, toggles, etc. This product has two contacts and only one auxiliary contact is used by a single motor circuit breaker. This device is mostly found in push-button controllers where it can also be used as the start button. The auxiliary contacts are commonly used in relay logic circuits, solid-state electronic equipment, electrical motors, motor control devices, and other building automation applications. Auxiliary contacts are linked to the primary contacts and consider switching in sync with them. The auxiliary contacts transfer the data from the circuit to a logic controller, which then sends signals to the associated devices whether to turn on. They can also be used as a hardware control device on their own. They are used as accessories for 140M Circuit Breaker usually used with use with 140M frame C, D, and F. It is a front mount or front fastening contact from series 140 in which no additional rail space is required. Its Pole and Throw Configuration are DPST. This auxiliary contact does not have any number of contacts as change-over contact. It has two sets normally closed a number of contacts are one whereas the number of contacts as normally open contact is also one. It gives us a screw connection and the standard are given as CCC, CE, CSA, CUL, KC, UL.
