The Allen-Bradley circuit breaker 1489-A1C010 has a standard configuration for AC device, 1 pole with a trip curve, and a 1-Ampere current rating. The circuit breaker has an energy limiting design which protects downstream machinery better than the conventional breakers in the case of a short circuit. It has IP2x finger protection on the front side. The breaker meets North American certifications such as UL 489, CSA 22.2 No. 5, and international standards such as CE mark and IEC (VDE) standard. It is rated by UL/CSA for a maximum of 480Y/277V AC with an interrupt rating of 14 kilo-Amperes and IEC rating of maximum 240/415 Volts AC and 15 kilo-Ampere interrupt rating. The breaker features a positively trip-free mechanism where the breaker operation cannot be circumvented by propping the switch handle into the ON position. Its installation is easy with mounting on a DIN rail. It is thermal magnetic trip and has a dielectric strength of 1960 Volts AC. Its dimensions are 17.5 x 105 millimeters. The temperature rating is -25 to 55 degrees Celsius and calibration is done at 40 degrees Celsius. It can withstand shock of 25 G, half sine wave for a duration of 11 milliseconds and a vibration of 10 to 200 Hertz. The circuit breaker is selected by considering the circuit voltage, frequency, available short circuit current, continuous current rating, application considerations, and any special operating conditions. The terminals have standard configuration for connection of stranded copper wire of size #18 to #8 AWG. The strip length for termination is 0.5 inches.
