The 1494V-DS100 is an Allen Bradley disconnect switch component. A disconnect switch is a switch that can isolate the electrical circuit or pieces of electrical equipment after the current is interrupted by any means. This is a switch with the right-hand disconnect mechanism. The continuous current rating of this Allen Bradley disconnect switch component is one hundred (100) amperes when the voltage is six hundred (600) volts AC maximum, or two hundred and fifty (250) volts DC maximum. This switch is used with a three-phase power supply. According to the certifications of NEMA, UL list, and CSA markings, the maximum horsepower of this mechanism is determined at a frequency of 60 Hz. This Allen Bradley device has a maximum power rating of 25 horsepower (Hp) at 200 to 280 volts AC, 30 horsepower (Hp) at 230 volts AC, 60 horsepower (Hp) at 460 volts AC, and 75 horsepower (Hp) at 575 volts. AC Additionally, at 250 volts DC, the maximum power rating of this device is 20 horsepower (Hp). This product has a maximum kW rating of 22 kilowatts at a voltage range of 220 volts to 240 volts, 45 kilowatts at 380 volts to 440 volts, and 55 kilowatts at 500 volts to 600 volts. The same switch is also available with a left-hand mechanism and the switch catalog is called 1494V-DSX100. This mechanism works exactly the same with the same ratings. The only difference is that the connectors are on the right so the switch is operational from the left side.
