The Allen-Bradley designed and produced 150-B97NBD SMC Dialog Plus module is a high-performance motor controller with a 97-ampere output current rating and offers several operating modes. The energy-saving, dual ramp start, and jumpstart operating modes are included as standard on SMC Dialog Plus controllers. There are several more operating modes with this device, including an Accu-Stop option, pump controlling function, and soft stop. Its energy saver option is a typical feature that is intended to conserve energy in situations in which the motor is empty or lightly driven for lengthy periods of time. The energy-saving mode does not need any external wiring or extra panel space, nor does it necessitate a complicated setup process.
The Allen-Bradley manufactured 150-B97NBD controller has an inbuilt serial port for connecting to an Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1201 HMI or numerous Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1203 series communication modules such as the DeviceNet, RS-232, and Remote I/O modules. The 150-B97NBD controller has a backlit LCD screen for parameter display. Controller programming is done using a 5-button keypad on the controller's front panel. The 150-B97NBD controller has a rated power output of 5 to 75 horsepower and 97 amperes of current at 460 volts AC input voltage. The controller accepts three-phase AC electricity ranging from 200 to 460 volts. The control voltage varies between 100 and 240 volts AC, and a fuse with a maximum current rating of 350 amperes may be used with the 150-B97NBD controller for short circuit protection. The controller's heat sink fan takes 45 VA of electricity.
