The bulletin 194E open type switch base is used with DIN mounting and has a load rating of 25 Amperes. The switch has three pole OFF/ON at 90 degrees and a 194L-HE6A-175 handle style that is paired with it. It has an AC23A rated power of 7.5 Kilowatts at 690 Volts and 400 Volts, as well as 5.5 Kilowatts at 230 Volts of alternating current, and 10 horsepower at 480 volts of alternating current at 60 Hertz with three phase. It has an impulse voltage rating of 8 Kilovolts and test voltage for 1 minute can be 2.5 Kilovolts. The power loss per pole is 1 Watt. It has a rated frequency of 50/60 Hertz. The switch can be operated in conventional free air thermal current up to 40 Amperes and conventional enclosed thermal current of 32 Amperes. The amperage rating for non-inductive or slightly inductive loads (AC-1) and for switching resistive loads with slight overload (AC-21A) is 25 Amperes. The protection class for the switch body is IP20 per IEC 529 and it has a mechanical life of 200,000 operations and switching rate can be up to 120 operations per hour. The maximum wire gauge size is 14 to 8 AWG or 1.5 to 16 sq.mm for rigid and fine strand wires. The recommended tightening torque is 1.4 N-m (12.2 lb-in). The switch has a permissible operational temperature limit of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius (-13 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and storage temperature limit of -40 to 80 degrees Celsius (-40 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit). The switch has UL 508, CSA C22.2, No. 14 and CE certifications.
