The Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation 2706-C11J8 is an Dataliner DL30 operator terminal. It has a power supply rating of 120 volts AC and power rating of 45 volt-amperes. The terminal consists of a VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) with 0.33-inch dot matrix characters. The terminal can display a single line count with 16 alpha-numeric and symbol characters, as well as punctuation without support for lowercase or an available data option. This terminal is equipped with a circuit protection MDL fuse with a 1.2-ampere and 250 volts AC rating.  The terminal contains a storage capacity of 8 kilobytes EEPROM with allowance of 387 message blocks.

The 2706-C11J8 Dataliner DL30 operator terminal utilizes an RS-232 serial port for external communication with connected input/output devices. The RS-232 and RS-422 ports on this device can be used for programming and configuration when connected to a PC. Programming of this terminal can be done using the Allen-Bradley T50 industrial grade computer. This device has a touch activation force of 20 to 80 g with a touch time capability of more than one million (1,000,000) touches. The 2706-C11J8 operator terminal can be efficiently used at temperature levels ranging from 0 to 50 °C (32 to 122 °F) and can be adequately stored and transported at temperature ranges of –40 to 85 °C (–40 to 185 °F). Additionally, the relative humidity of the surrounding area should be 5 to 95% without condensation. This Allen Bradley device has an approximate weight of 1.70 kilograms, or 3.75 pounds, and has physical dimensions that measure 4.5 inches x 9.4 inches x 5 inches.
