Manufacturer: | Allen Bradley - Miscellaneous |
Product Type: | Automation Product |
Part Number: | 42GRR-9003 |
Series: | 42GRR |
Description:
The Allen Bradley 42GRR-9003 photoelectric sensor is a standard sensor with a sensing mode of a transmitted beam receiver. The light source used is an 880 nm infrared light. The voltage range of the AC/DC power supply is 70 to 264 volts. The maximum current consumption rating of this device is 30 milliamperes. The output type is N-MOSFET in the receiver while the sensing distance depends on the emitter. The user interface panel has three LEDs (light emitting diodes).

The 42GRR-9003 is a part of Allen Bradley PHOTOSWITCH Series 9000 photoelectric sensors. These have extended sensing ranges for maximum applications. This particular sensor has a transmitted beam type sensing mode. In this mode, the emitter and receiver are placed opposite to each other and there is a continuous light source from emitter to receiver. If the light gets blocked and does not reach the receiver, that means there is an object between them. The light source used is an infrared light of 880 nm. The sensing distance, however, depends on the beam emitter. The output voltage of this device ranges from 70 to 264 volts with an AC/DC power supply. The current consumption of this photoelectric sensor is 30 milliamperes at maximum. The output type is a N-MOSFET in the receiver. The sensing is a simple standard on/off type. This photoelectric sensor has an operating temperature that should remain within a range of -34 to +70 degrees Celsius. There is short circuit, reverse polarity, overload, and false pulse protection in this system. The sensor can absorb a shock of 30 g with a 1 millisecond pulse duration before the shock damages the sensor or its capabilities. The user interface panel for the sensor has three (3) LED (light emitting diode) lights on it with red, green, and yellow colors. The red color indicates whether the margin is less than 2.5 (off-state) or greater than 2.5 (on-state). The green light indicates if the output is de-energized (off-state) or energized (on-state). Finally, the yellow light indicates whether the power is off or on.
