Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation's 440N-G02083 is a non-contact safety switch. This part is also widely known as a Guard Master Ferrogard 440N magnetic safety switch. This part is part of the 440N product line, including high-end safety contact selective switches. Its great capacity to tolerate non-contact actuation and its long-lasting capability due to decreased wear-and-tear are two distinct advantages to this product. Furthermore, it has a broad sensing field function for improved tolerance to safety guard misalignment. It operates on 24 Volts DC and can draw up to 1 ampere for its current rating. This safety contact supports one (1) normally open (NO) auxiliary contact and two (2) normally closed (NC) safety contacts. The type of this safety contact module is FRS 21. The housing material of this contact is made of PVC plastic, and it supports a 6-meter connection, six (6)-pin micro QD cable. The 440N-G02083 safety contact comes with an actuator. This actuator is magnetic. The switching distance of this magnetic safety switch is 12 millimeters. In addition to that, this product has an Ingress Protection rating of IP67. This rating means that this device is protected against dust, water splashes, and other harmful foreign substances. It is also worth mentioning that this safety switch includes the magnetic sensor principle. This sensor has physical dimensions that measure 76 millimeters x 30 millimeters x 15 millimeters (height x width x depth). The Allen Bradley 440N-G02083 safety switch should be operated in an environment where the temperature ranges from -10 to 55 degrees Celsius.
