The safety relay 440R-D22R2 is a dual input Guardmaster brand that is mounted via a 35 millimeter long DIN rail. The 440R-D22R2 monitoring safety relay turns the machine ON or OFF as a response to an error. It also monitor the guard and the door, thus protecting the machinery, as well as the user. It is capable of implementing safety commands that minimizes the risk. It is type dual input belonging to the GUARDMASTER family. For support, it is mounted on a 35 millimeters DIN railing.

It operates under a direct current supply voltage of 24 volts and constitutes of 2 dual input channel, 1 normally closed, 2 normally closed, output signal switching device (OSSD) operating within 85 to 264 volts with a frequency of 50/60 hertz. It has 2 normally closed and 1 S.S immediate safety output and 1 S.S immediate safety auxiliary output. It is capable of withstanding a voltage of up to 2500 volts and has a coil resistance of 900 ohms. The end connections of the electrical connectors are screw terminals. The mechanical operating life cycle is 10 million.

It has an enclosure rated IP40 of NEMA (type 4) that should not be used outdoors as it’s not waterproof. For efficient working, the environmental conditions necessary are indicated as follows; the temperature range is within negative five (-5) to fifty-five (55) degrees Celsius, the vibrations should  be within 10 to 55 hertz with an amplitude of 0.35 millimeters  and a shock of 10 G at 16 milliseconds. The device is logic configured with AND/OR logic rotary configuration. It has a weight of 205.6 grams and it is CE and TUV certified.
