The 5069-L310ER CompactLogix 5380 controller from Allen-Bradley is used for applications where safety and reliability are top priorities. It has a low probability of operation failure, hence giving increased productivity for safety-related industrial applications. The control has a user memory of 1 MB and can be programmed with Sequential Function Chart, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, and Ladder Diagram. The module has eight Local I/O modules and 24 EtherNet/IP nodes. This module comes with a built-in USB port and two Ethernet ports. The Ethernet performance of this module is 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1 Gbps with the full-duplex setup only. The module has a power rating of 18 to 32 volts DC with 450 milliamperes of current. The module has a power inrush of 850 mA for 125 milliseconds. The sensor/actuator power voltage has a range of 0 to 32 volts DC, or 0 to 240 volts AC, at 47 to 63 Hz and SA power current range of 10 milliamperes (DC power), 25 milliamperes (AC power). The 5069-L310ER has a power dissipation of around 8.5 W with thermal dissipation of 29 BTU/hr. The module supports both pulse latching and pattern matching. Its dimensions are 5.4 x 0.9 x 4.2 in (138 x 22 x 105 mm) with a weight of 0.39 pounds (175 grams). The module is IP 20 rated and should be installed inside a panel board due to its low IP environmental protection rating.
