Designed and manufactured by the company known as Allen Bradley, product number 592-EC2ED is a solid-state overload relay. This device belongs to the E3 Plus series of products. This E3 Plus overload relay was specifically designed for the protection of single or three-phase squirrel cage induction motors. This E3 Plus overload relay provides ambient compensated overload protection, as well as a vast array of advanced features such as warning diagnostic, I/O capabilities, direct DeviceNet connectivity, and more. This Allen Bradley E3 Plus overload relay also offers features such as zero sequence ground fault protection, PTC thermistor input, and more. The Allen Bradley 592-EC2ED was designed to be installed on a NEMA starter with a size of three (3). The adjustment range for this E3 Plus overload relay is eighteen (18) amperes to ninety (90) amperes. This overload relay has a total of six (6) input / output (I/O) channels. This relay has four (4) input channels, as well as two (2) output channels. This device has a rated insulation voltage of 690 volts AC. The rated impulse strength is 6 kilovolts AC. The operating voltage rating of the Allen Bradley 592-EC2ED overload relay is 690 volts AC for IEC or 600 volts AC for UL. The frequency rating for this E3 Plus overload relay is 20 to 250 hertz. The rated power consumption of this device is 3.9 watts. The output relay ratings of this device include a rated insulation voltage of 300 volts AC, a rated operating voltage of 250 volts AC, and a rated operating current of 5 amperes. The minimum operating current is 10 milliamperes at 5 volts DC.
