Allen-Bradley produced the 592-EC5PC overload relay module, which comes from the 592 Relay series. The E3 Plus overload relay offers energy monitoring and voltage protection accessibility. Its full load current ranges between zero-point-four (0.4) and two (2) amperes (A). This solid-state relay has NEMA contactor sizes ranging from zero (0) to two (2) that work with Bulletin 500 contactors.

This overload relay from the E3 Plus series is intended to permit users to retain track of various diagnostics information via DeviceNet, such as trip snapshot, and status, operating hours, device status, warning status, number of starts, overload trip, and the history log of the previous five trips. These overload relays also permit operators to investigate operational data such as individual currents, average current, percentage of current imbalance, ground-fault, and the percentage of thermal capacity used.

When being used with the RSNetWorx (Ed. 3.0 or later) versions of the DeviceNet network, the function blocks are programmable and can be saved to the E3 overload relays. This aids with the isolated logic routines. The individual function terminals can be programmed using standard boolean operators like AND, XOR, OR, and NOT, as well as latches, counters, and timers.
