The 6181F-17TPXPSS belongs to Allen-Bradley's VersaView series of integrated display industrial computers that combine a TFT flat-panel display with industrial computing power. It performs visual interface, inspection, and basic applications processing.
The 6181F-17TPXPSS is a 1700P model with a performance package. The computer has an Intel Core Duo U2500 processor with a base frequency of 1.2 gigahertz, 2M L2 cache, a bus speed of 533 megahertz, and thermal design power (TDP) of 9 watts. It has 4 gigabytes of installed system memory and an upgradable PCI expansion slot. The 6181F-17TPXPSS also has two type 2 CompactFlash card slots. One  of these slots is bootable while the other is hot-swappable. This industrial computer also has a 2.5-inch solid-state drive (SATA SLC ) of 32 GB minimum and an optical disc drive (Slim DVD-RW/CD-RW). For user interface, an inbuilt touch screen is available. The stainless steel bezels of the computer fulfill the requirements for NEMA 4X. Its hardware includes 17-inch LCD panel, PS/2 keyboard & mouse port to attach compatible keyboards and mice, a parallel port to connect peripherals, four USB ports to link USB devices, and two Ethernet ports (RJ45) for communications over Ethernet. It has one DVI-I port for the digital video interface and two serial COM ports for the serial communication interface. It also has an in-built microphone-in jack, audio line-out, and line-in jack. It also has a power switch for a quick turn on and turns off.  The 6181F-17TPXPSS requires an AC input with a supply voltage range of 100 to 240 volts. This VersaView computer operates at a line frequency of 47 to 63 Hz and has a maximum power consumption rate of 110 volt-amperes.
