Part number 897H-G232 is a Bulletin 897H galvanic isolator. This isolator has an current rating of 24 milliamperes and a coil voltage of 10.6 volts. This dual input isolator has SPDT (Single Input Double Throw) contacts with contact rating of 4 amperes at 250 volts AC. The isolator is used as a relay repeater module with four (4) outputs. It is classified with a frequency rating of less than 15 hertz and a power rating of 64 watts. The isolator works using a Zener Diode Barrier and Galvanic isolators with a dual channel and requires AC power for operation. The isolator supports a conductor size of 0.2 to 2.5 mm² (24 to 14 AWG). The isolator has a DC voltage rating of 10 to 30 volts DC.

Galvanic Isolators function as active protection assemblies that control the amount of energy flowing into a hazardous area in fault cases. The 897H-G232 isolator is equipped with LED status indicators, which include green for power, red for wire short, and yellow for output closed. It is FM, CSA, UL, CENEEC (PTB) approved, as well as CE certified for all applicable directives. This isolator is packaged in a polyamide 6GF IP30 type enclosure for protection against external environment. It can be mounted via a 35 mm DIN rail mount and can operate within a temperature rating of -20 ºC to 65 ºC (-4 ºF to 149 ºF). This isolator has a compact design with physical dimensions that measure 122 mm x 108 mm x 17.6 mm (4.8 inches x 4.25 inches x 0.69 inches) and an approximate weight of 160 grams, or 0.35 pounds, when shipping.
