The remote I/O communication module 1203-GD1 is an optional interface that offers a direct, digital link between a programmable controller and a SCANport. The DIP switches allow for the remote I/O module operation configuration prior to connection. There are user-configurable fault action DIP switches that enable customization of the module in case of communication error. The module has LED indicators to indicate the health of link, module, and SCANport units. All datalinks are supported by the module that transfer data from controller to SCANport devices. The 1203-GD1 module is compatible with the 1305 AC Micro Drive, 1336 IMPACT drive, 1336 PLUS AC drive, PLUS II drive, FORCE drive, REGEN line regeneration package, SPIDER drive, as well as the 1394 AC Multi-axis motion control system, SMC dialog plus and many more. The 1203-GD1 has NEMA Type 1 enclosure and requires 84 to 264 volts of alternating current. The input current is less than 35 mA and input frequency range is 45 to 63 Hertz. The load on SCANport is 60 milliamps of direct current. The module can function in the temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) while the temperature limits for storage are wider at -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) with a relative humidity of 0 to 95% without condensation.
