The Allen-Bradley 1203-SG2 is considered as a splitter expander module that provides a distance of 3 meters (9.75 feet). This communication module is conceived to meet the IP30 and NEMA Type 1 enclosure ratings. The expander can be installed on a DIN rail and has a type ratio of one to two (1:2). This module can be employed with all Allen-Bradley SCANport devices. The module provides two communication ports. The 1203-SG2 offers a maximum distance of 10 meters (33 feet) from the drive. This device can operate at an altitude of up to 1000 meters (3300 feet) without deterioration. This module supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5% to 95%. The splitter expander module can be employed with 1305 series of drives in many applications.

The 1203-SG2 can be stored in a safe environment that shouldn’t be full of condensation or corrosive at a temperature from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius (-40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). The module contains an Allen-Bradley 1202-C30 wire that is employed to connect to a SCANport drive. This device supports a voltage of 480 Volts AC. The expander module has dimensions of 5.1 centimeters (2 inches) in height, 12.7 centimeters (5 inches) in width, and a depth of 7.6 centimeters (3 inches). This port expander module includes two (2) communication ports and one SCANport that are on the faceplate.
