The Allen Bradley 1492-IFM20F-2 is a digital interface module (IFM) with a fixed terminal block. This 20-point module allows for feed-through connections and extra terminals (2 per I/O). The module’s voltage range is specified as 0 to 264 volts AC/DC with a maximum rated current of 2 amperes per circuit and 12 amperes per module. This IFM module’s output current is rated at 2 amperes for 0 to 264 volts AC, 1 ampere for 10 to 125 volts DC, and 0.5 amperes for 24 volts DC (Out 2-Out 7). This Allen Bradley IFM module is capable of being mounted via a 35-millimeter DIN rail mount. This module has Plug-in electrical connections on the control side and Screw type electrical connections on the field side. The physical dimensions of this Allen Bradley digital interface module measure 83 millimeters x 110 millimeters x 70.5 millimeters, or 3.27 inches x 4.33 inches x 2.78 inches (height x width x depth).

The 1492-IFM20F-2 IFM module power bus is divided into two groups of 10 I/O terminals each that are fully isolated and connect to a separate power source. The module’s compatibility settings mandate that the voltage and current specification ratings of the module should not be exceeded. When operating this device, it is recommended that the temperature of the surrounding environment range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. Additionally, when this device is being stored, the temperature of the storage area should range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The humidity levels suitable for this IFM range from 5% to 95% and should be non-condensing.
