The 1492-IFM40F-FS120A-4, manufactured by Allen-Bradley, is a digital interface module with 40-point isolated fusible digital IFM and 120V AC/DC blown fuse indications. Additionally, it has four terminals per input. Fuse clips with or without blown fuse indicators are used in this interface module form, which is 5 x 20 mm in size. The 1492-IFM40F-FS120A-4 is equipped with connections for the provision of landing power. To accommodate the inputs, an isolated extra terminal is supplied on the inputs' connector, which includes a blown fuse warning light.

The 1492-IFM40F-FS120A-4 digital module has a fixed terminal block. It contains forty (40) pins, a fused voltage of one hundred and twenty (120) volts AC, an isolated additional terminal with a blown fuse warning for outputs, and four (4) I/O connections. This module ensures that the I/O module does not break the voltage or current standards of the IFM. The IFM comes with its fuse holders. There are no fuses provided. It features two additional field-side terminals that are internally linked on the IFM for each channel and may be used for power supply common connections. The fusing clips and blown fuse indications are separated into sixteen (16) terminal groups. This enables individual input devices to use a separate power source.

Connecting to an Allen-Bradley PLC I/O is quick, and this module is simple and dependable when used with an Allen-Bradley created Bulletin 1492 wiring system. The Bulletin 1492 series product wiring system, unlike traditional terminal blocks, links to digital, analog, and fast speed counter PLC I/O devices through pre-wired and pre-tested connections. Furthermore, wiring system options for 1794 Flex I/O are provided through the Flex D-shell type base modules, 1794-TB37DS and 1794-TB62DS. The interface modules are installed on a DIN #3 rail. For every interface module and I/O device combination, pre-printed sticky label cards with field-wiring information are supplied.

The module's cable connectors wiring method may be installed up to thirty (30) times quicker than conventional point-to-point wiring, allowing OEMs and panel builders to create panels faster and manufacture more machines.
