Part Number 1492-IFM40F-FS24A-4 belongs to the I/O platforms of Bulletin 1746, Bulletin 1771, and Bulletin 1756 IFM Input / Output Modules. It is manufactured and designed by Allen-Bradley as a digital module with a fixed terminal block. It has a fusible interface module style that comes with 40-point isolated fusible cable connectors. Four (4) terminals per input are generally present as field-type terminals in this module. This digital interface module features an isolated extra terminal associated with blown fuse LED indicator type for inputs. Notable features of this I/O digital module include a voltage range of 10 to 30 volts AC / DC, a maximum current per circuit of 2 amperes, a maximum current per module rated at 12 amperes, and an indicator circuit current (nominal) of 3.1 milliamperes. The 1492-IFM40F-FS24A-4 module is found to be compatible with label card replacement part catalog number 46006-226-01.

Allen-Bradley’s 1492-IFM40F-FS24A-4 is only used with the 1756-IB16D module. It is supplied with a 24 volts AC / DC supply and has a fixed terminal block. It features four special terminals per each I/O connection. The voltage and current ratings should not exceed for the module to operate properly. Fuses having dimensions of 5 millimeters by 20 millimeters are not included in the module, however, fuse holders are included in this digital module. Sixteen (16) groups of terminals are formed after isolation of the blown fuse and fuse clips. This module consists of a screw-type wire clamp. This 1492-IFM40F-FS24A-4 module includes an isolated extra terminal with blown-type LED indicators for input.
