The Allen Bradley 1492-REC15G ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) is an easy-to-use power outlet. The receptacle is designed to be installed in panels that employ the NEMA 5-15 socket. The receptacle has a nominal voltage of 125 V, a nominal current of 15 A, and an operating frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. The receptacle is characterized by an interrupting current of 10 kA and a dielectric voltage rating of 1500V per UL498. It has a short circuit current rating of 1492-REC15G with a trip level of 5 mA, +/- 1 mA. The receptacle comes in DIN rail and panel mounting options. It is designed for terminal wire sizes of #20 to #10 AWG solid or stranded with a terminal torque requirement of 7 lb-in (0.79 Nm). The receptacle can be adequately operated within a temperatures range of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius, or -13 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This device can be stored in an area where the temperature ranges from -35 to 80 degrees Celsius, or -31 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 1492-REC15G receptacle is enclosed in a PBT/polycarbonate blend, UL94 rated cover, while the enclosure base is designed using Polyamide 6/6 30% GF, UL94 rated material. The receptacle has a grey front cover and a stainless-steel spring. Additional features and benefits of the 1492-REC15G receptacle include fast and easy wiring with snapping to a 35 mm DIN rail, provision of ground fault current interrupt (GFCI), and built-in optical indicators for power status. This device has physical dimensions that measure 123.6 mm x 74.1 mm x 61.5 mm (4.9 inches x 2.9 inches x 2.4 inches).
