Part number 1606-XL180B is an Allen Bradly power supply unit. The device is type switched mode power supply and part of the 1606-XL product series. This unit can operate with an AC input voltage range of 115 to 230 volts and DC range 240 to 375 volts. There is a manual selector switch that should be placed in position according to the input voltage type and value. The input current of this device is less than 5 amperes, in which the switch is in the 115-volt position, and less than 2.3 amperes, in which the switch is in the 230-volt AC position. This unit has an internal fuse that is not accessible and does not need additional external protection. The device provides DC (direct current) voltage output range of 12 to 15 volts DC, which is adjustable by potentiometer and placed on the front panel.

This device has an efficiency rating of more than 87 percent. The hold-up time of this device is 45.7 milliseconds at an input of 100 volts, 84.6 milliseconds at an input of 120 volts, and 81.3 milliseconds at an input of 230 volts. This unit has a green LED (light emitting diode) on the front panel for indicating DC status. This power supply has physical dimensions that measure 120 millimeters x 124 millimeters x 102 millimeters (4.72 inches x 4.88 inches x 4.02 inches). This device requires 25 millimeters, or 0.98 inches, of clearance above and below it, as well as 15 millimeters, or 0.59 inches, on both sides of it for proper ventilation.
