The 1606-XL960E-3 is a power supply module from the 1606 Switched Mode Power Supplies family. In most industrial installations, the primary function of this sort of module is to deliver power to traditional automation systems. The module is compatible with a wide variety of PLC logic systems, i.e., small automation computers for easing the applicability at the production line using discrete transfer of information. The 1606-XL960E-3S, in particular, is ideally suited to systems such as IT systems, particularly in the automation sector. Furthermore, the module supports a normal input voltage range of 3 AC 400 to 500 volts. In comparison, the output voltage varies from 24 to 28 volts of direct current (DC). Furthermore, the module's continuous operation for AC ranges between 340 and 575 volts, which is typical of the stated tolerances provided by the module.
