Description:

1606-XLS480F is an ultra-small size power supply featuring DC/ AC single-phase input by Rockwell Automation. For AC input type, it needs 100-240 volts AC at 50-60Hz and an AC input current of 4.59/ 2.48 amperes at 120 / 230 VAC. For DC input type, it needs 110-300 volts DC and a DC input current of 4.7/ 1.7 amperes at 110 / 300 VDC. It outputs a DC nominal value of 48 volts as output with an adjustable range of 48 to 55 volts. At 48 volts, it can supply 10 amperes current continuously and 15 amperes up to 4 seconds.

Rockwell Automation power supply 1606-XLS480F is a highly efficient product. It has an extremely small size. It uses synchronous rectification and unique design to achieve performance and design optimization. It offers features like power boost, hiccup mode, and circuitry to limit active inrush current.

It can provide 48 volts on output terminals. But, this output value ranges from 48 to 59 volts.  It has a rated output power of 480 watts. It provides 10 amperes at 48 volts output and 8.7 amperes at 55 volts output. It can be driven with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). For AC-input, the voltage levels must be between 85-276 volts for continuous operation, 60-85 volts for 200 milliseconds (full power), and 276-300 volts for less than 500 milliseconds; nominal AC input is 100 - 240 volts. The AC input frequency should be in the range of 50 to 60 Hz, allowed tolerance is ±6%. At the input of 100 VAC, it features  5.47 amperes input current, 0.96 power factor, 1.6 crest factor, 640 milliseconds start-up delay and 80 milliseconds rise time. At the input of 120 VAC, it features  4.56 amperes input current, 0.95 power factor, 1.7 crest factor, 610 milliseconds start-up delay and 80 milliseconds rise time. At the input of 230 VAC, it features  2.48 amperes input current, 0.90 power factor, 2.05 crest factor, 660 milliseconds start-up delay and 80 milliseconds rise time.
For DC-input, the nominal voltage is 110 - 300 volts. The allowed range is 88-375 Volts DC for continuous operation. It extracts 4.7 amperes at 110 VDC and 1.7 amperes at 300 VDC from the DC source.
