The Allen-Bradley 2707 NC1 network/communication cable allows users to link the RS-232/RS-485 variations of the Allen-Bradley DTAM Plus to the Allen-Bradley SLC DH 485 network. This cable has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

The 2707-NC1 communication cable is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This DH 485 communication is a discontinued module and is compatible to be utilized with the Allen-Bradley DTAM plus terminals. This communication cable's functionality is that it enables the linkage between the Allen-Bradley DTAM Plus terminal, the Allen-Bradley SLC, and a personal computer. The users are able to establish a connection between the RS-232/RS-485 variants of the Allen-Bradley DTAM Plus and the Allen-Bradley SLC DH 485 network by utilizing this Allen-Bradley 2707-NC1 network/communication cable. To establish a connection between DTAM plus and RS 485, shut the power down on the DTAM plus and make sure you are equipped with the right type of cable to connect the port of the controller to the DTAM plus communication port. The user may have to utilize link couplers in the instance where electrical isolation is needed or when the distance between the DTAM Plus terminal and the Allen-Bradley SLC is larger than 6.5 feet. Moving on, the user must check that the DTAM Plus terminal's communication specifications are relevant to those of the host device. Lastly, the power should be supplied to make sure the communication connection is functional. Additionally, to effectively reduce the electrical noise, carefully route the power that the terminal is receiving to a different route to the communication cables. In addition to that, the impacts of noise caused by electromagnetic interference can be reduced with proper grounding. All wires must be insulated and grounded at one end to avoid EMI concerns.
