The Allen-Bradley 4100-IF2 is an IF2 Input/Output Interface. This interface can be employed with PDM modules. This device supports a voltage of 24 Volts DC. The 4100-IF2 is a PCB board that can be employed with the positioning drive modules. This device reverses the I/O circuit polarity to suppress the compatibility problem that can be found when linking any external control conductors to the I/O. The module includes output stages that source current to loads and input stages that need to operate a current-sinking input. This interface can be mounted on a DIN rail. The device includes two (2) terminal strips of 1.5 square millimeters screw clamp type. These two connectors are labeled “P1” and “P2”. The connectors include 26 slots. The device has an operating specification for the mechanical shock level of 2 g.
The Allen-Bradley 4100-IF2 supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5% to 95% and a vibration frequency range from 5 to 55 Hertz. This unit can operate at an altitude of up to 1000 meters (3281 feet) without deterioration. The 4100-IF2 can be stored in a safe environment that shouldn’t be full of condensation or corrosion at a temperature from -40 to 65 degrees Celsius (-40 to 149 degrees Fahrenheit). The interface is conceived to be connected on a one for one basis to the I/O connectors on the PDM drive. The 4100-IF2 can operate at a temperature range of zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for applications and weighs approximately 4.54 Kilograms (10 pounds) while shipping.
