Part number 1752-L24BBBE is a SmartGuard 600 controller that was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. This device has a total of sixteen digital inputs and eight outputs, along with four test pulse sources. Ethernet/IP connection is provided via the 1752-L24BBBE controller. Aside from that, the 16 inputs allow for input circuit diagnosis. The test pulse sources may monitor both internal circuits and external wiring and devices. It also has input on and off delays, in which the operator may select the input duration between 0 and 126 milliseconds to eliminate chattering and noise. It also offers dual-channel mode, which allows the operator to set the channel to dual-mode for the pair of local inputs. This Allen Bradley module features 8 local outputs that allow overcurrent detection and provides overcurrent safety. If overcurrent does occur, the output is shut to safeguard the circuit. The controller may play the role of a DeviceNet safety master or a slave. Moreover, a single controller can operate in all three modes, acting as a safety master and a safety slave, as well as a regular slave too. Additionally, this controller provides explicit messaging access to controller status information. To transmit explicit messages, the user program can configure explicit messaging and the messages would be sent through DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP. Aside from that, to program the SmartGuard 1752-L24BBBE controller on the DeviceNet network, a USB can be utilized by operators. However, SmartGuard has limited pass-through capabilities from USB to DeviceNet to program and configure it.
