Part number 196-FTB is a pneumatic timer relay module. This is a series B device from the Bulletin 196 product line. It was designed and produced by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. The type of this pneumatic timer module is F. All of the models from the 109-A09 to the 109-A45 may utilize this relay timer. Additionally, a wide range of Bulletin 100 contractors and other wye-delta starter kits require this device. The input voltage requirement of this timer is 600 Volts AC.  The default timer range of this pneumatic device is 0.1 to 180 seconds. This part is classified as an accessory kit that is one of the useful peripheral devices necessary for assembling the previously mentioned modules. In this regard, Bulletin 700-F Control Relay modules are highly compatible with the 196-FTB timer relay. This type of pneumatic timer is primarily used when the air signal entering or exiting the machine equipment needs to be postponed. The airtime delay can be adapted from 0.1 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the model. A timer relay is also a hybrid of an electro-mechanical output relay and a control circuit. The contacts will open or close before or after a timed interval that may be pre-defined by the user. Apart from that, users are suggested to follow the instructions given in the Bulletin’s manual to ensure that proper safety precautions are taken. In brief, the 196 pneumatic timer modules are compact and portable. Additionally, this device was built using smart circuit technology.
