Part number 440C-ENET is an Ethernet/IP plug-in interface, which was designed and manufactured by Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation for enabling connection to CR30 relays. This interface is capable of being mounted via a panel mount or a DIN rail. Classified as Group-1, Class-A equipment for industrial use, this device operates on 42 milliamperes of backplane current at 24 volts DC. This device has a 50 volts DC isolation voltage and is fitted with reinforced insulation. The maximum power consumption rating of this interface is 1 watt, while the thermal dissipation rating is 3.41 British Thermal Units per hour (BTU/hr) at 65 degrees Celsius.
Part Number 440C-ENET is sensitive to electrostatic discharge and, as such, extra care and caution should be taken during installation and handling of the device. This device, together with the 440C-CR30 safety relay, support both input/output messaging by reading and writing input/output data for diagnostics and plant control applications, as well as logic explicit messaging, which are useful for non-deterministic communications by reading and writing non-critical data. Additionally, the 440C-ENET has an operating temperature that should remain within a range of -20 to +65 degrees Celsius. The storage temperature for this device should remain within a range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity of the surrounding area during operation should be 5 to 85% non-condensing, while when storing, it should be 5 to 95% non-condensing. This device can withstand a vibration rated at 2 G at a frequency range of 10 to 500 hertz. Additionally, this device can withstand an operating shock of 25 G and a non-operating shock of 25 G on a DIN rail mount or 35 G on a panel mount.
