Part number W61 by Allen Bradley is a W series thermal overload heater element. The W series heater element is rated for a full load current of 22.2 amperes at size 0, 22.9 amperes at size 1, 23.2 amperes at size 2, and 25.1 amperes at size 3. Its current rating is defined as 115% of its full load amperes. The heater element is classified as a trip class 20 protection device. The heater element has a manual reset option.

The resistive heater element operates via a eutectic alloy overload relay. The W61 heater element is suitable for use with thermal overload relays, motor controls, and magnetic motor starters. It is designed to be used in conjunction with Allen Bradley Bulletin 100, 500, 609, and 1200 line starters. The heater element provides added protection and is designed for use in relay applications requiring Class 20 protection. The heater element has screw-on type electrical connections with a torque rating of 26 lb-in, or 2.9 Nm. It has top mounting capability and can be fixed on top of desired relay application.

It is certified according to KC standards. This heater element can be adequately used at an ambient temperature of up to 40 ºC, or 104 ºF.
