The Allen-Bradley MVI56-MBP is a Modbus plus dual-port network interface module from the MV156 series. This product has a single slot and comes with a local or remote rack type. It supports ladder logic as the type for the data processing and transfer. It has 57,600 Bauds, and its maximum word read and write limit is 100 words. The master command count has a range of 0 to 200 commands. In addition, the module can transfer 0 to 4K words of data transfer between Modbus and PLCs asynchronously. Aside from that, its backplane current load is 800 mA at 5 volts DC. This module is suitable in the industrial and automation control sectors. It works best with CompactLogix PLCs, particularly, and connects Modbus Plus-enabled PLCs with other Modbus-enabled devices. This module can connect to Modicon devices as both a master and a slave. It's a connector that connects the Modbus Plus and ControlLogix backplanes. In addition, users can set up this module as a slave to the PLCs. The compatible PLCs should read and write data from their memory. It also includes a backup battery, whose basic task is to protect the CMOS and real-time clocks. Users should charge the battery up to 20 hours straight during the initial setup.
