The SST-PFB-PLC5 is an SST Network Module for the venerated but now discontinued Allen-Bradley PLC-5 Controller series. A network module makes use of specific functions in a network stack, such as a data link interface, a transport protocol, or a network. The SST-PFB-PLC5 includes 512 kilobytes(kB) of flash memory for storage and configuration data. The SST-PFB-PLC5 also includes a 9-pin serial port for use in Input/Output configurations. This unit includes a light-emitting diode (LED) to alert the operator to network errors and other problems. The SST-PFB-PLC5 includes an Intel i960 processor along with 512 kilobytes of internal, volatile Random Access Memory (RAM).
