IC670MDL930 is an isolated NO/NC relay output module manufactured by GE Fanuc. The module provides eight isolated outputs out of which six Normally Open (NO) contacts, and two Normally Open or Normally Closed (NO/NC) contacts. The bus interface unit’s power supply provides the power required for the module. The voltage rating of the IC670MDL930 relay output module is 120 or 240 Volts DC and 5, 24, or 125 Volts DC. The resistive load current per module is 16 Amperes. It also includes moving armature and fixed coil type relays. Every output of the module has an RC snubber to suppress the noise transients of high frequency. Snubber’s resistance rating is 47.5 ohms. This module does not include any fuse for protection.
IC670MDL930 output module draws a maximum current of 313 milliamperes from the power supply of the bus interface unit. When the number of points on the output module increases, the device’s requirements for power also increase. There is a linear relationship between the number of points and power requirements. The module has 100,000 operations of electrical life for its contacts and 20,000,000 operations of mechanical life. The module’s typical contact life varies with the load condition. The noise suppression in the module is achieved by a snubber at the output. This suppression contributes to the contact’s durability and also reduces the noise transients in control wiring. IC670MDL930 module also has a silver alloy contact with initial resistance of 0.2 ohms at 6 Volts DC and 1 Ampere of current. The output’s maximum response time is 10 milliseconds.
