The IC600BF831 from GE Fanuc is a 32-point input interface for the Series Six programmable logic control scheme. This product is compatible with GE's version 60 and Series Six CPUs and provides a small, optically separated interface between the GE Fanuc device and six backplane I/O bus, as well as the field circuit or any set of inputs. The IC600BF831 is a single-slot high-density input interface that may be used with the class 60 CPU I/O workstation or the type six I/O workstation. With this greater kit, users can choose between two different consumption settings, first one is TTL for use with field circuits and between 10 and 50 volts DC for use with conventional input devices, the second one is the I/O bus.

The 32 input circuits of the IC600BF831 high-density input module provide cost-effective input points while preserving I/O rack space. This module is classified into four parts of eight ports each, and each group is updated with each I/O scanning. Each of the 32 input points is linked to a commonality point, and the model Six PLC is isolated from the common by 240 volts AC. This is designed for use in minimal cost and higher input operations including current sinking or sourcing DC devices, small I/O devices, and equipment having TTL output values. The category 60 rack, also known as the I/O rack, provides power to the IC600BF831 heavy input kit, which needs 200 milliamperes (maximum) current from more than 5 volts rated backplane DC sources. This input module includes two LEDs on the circuitry that display the module's selected settings, as well as dual in-line package (DIP) switches that allow the user to choose a particular time-delay range for every input.
