The IC600CB524 is an arithmetic control module used for performing logical and arithmetic functions of a Series Six or Model 60, 600, and 6000 central processing unit (CPU). The module has four (4) integrated circuits of with a 16-bit microprocessor. The circuits that are integrated into the module work together with the logic control module to produce timing signals and system control. A ribbon cable connector is used to link the arithmetic control module to the logic control module. It is important to note that any attempt to link the two modules, the control and logic modules, without the use of the ribbon cable will lead to unpredictable operation of the central processing unit.
