The General Electric (GE) Fanuc IC630MDL380 is a Series 3, PLC type relay output module. The relay module is equipped with 16 circuits, designed to control discrete loads including relay coils, solenoid valves, motor starters, and indicator lights. The user supplied voltage rating of the module is 2 – 265 V AC/DC maximum and its current rating is 4 A continuous. The relay module is not designed to operate at a specific power level (such as 24 VDC or 115 VAC), therefore, it is suitable for applications involving a wide variety of loads and signal types. The relay module has 16 circuits that are arranged in two groups of 8 circuits. Each group is equipped with a 10 Amp protective fuse in the case of an over-load. Separate power sources can be used for each group while the power to operate the circuits is provided by the user. The output points have LED indicators to exhibit on/ off state. The relay’s internal power consumption is rated at 5 VDC, 35 mA in general and 12 VDC, 40 mA/point.
The IC630MDL380 relay output module has a normally open (N.O.) contact point and ON and OFF state delays of 5 ms. It has a leakage current of 1.3 mA (at 230 V, 60 Hz) due to the surge protection circuit. The relay is equipped with contact protection RC networks (100 Ω, 0.15 µF). The relay measures 2 x 6 x 10 inches (510 x 1520 x 2540 mm) and weighs an approximate 1.41 lb (0.64kg).
