The IC660BCM501 is a portable monitor battery charger module from the Genius I/O family, manufactured by GE Fanuc. The primary application of this battery is to charge a GE Fanuc handheld portable monitor module. This battery module has an approximate weight of three (3) pounds. This module can be operated either by a built-in battery or by a 115-volt or 230-volt AC power source. Even when using AC (alternating current) power, the battery pack must be installed to continue working this unit. This unit can supply the power directly to the handled monitor from its internal battery directly, or users can also use the external AC power supply source.

After two years of AC operation, the battery pack may not be able to hold sufficient charge for the unit to operate independently. Therefore, if you are using a fresh battery to power the monitor or it is already overused, it is suggested to charge the battery for at least fifteen (15) minutes before using the monitor, which is considered a best practice to boost the health of the battery. The fast-charging cable should be plugged into the system, and the battery must be charged for fifteen (15) minutes before powering it on. In addition, it may be necessary to remove and reinstall the battery for fifteen (15) to twenty (20) seconds. Aside from that, users should also avoid consistently relying on the AC power source as it may cause the battery to drain, which might eventually result in poor performance.
