The GE Fanuc manufactured IC660CBB902 Series 6 Bus Controller is a PLC bus controller for the Series 6 architecture. This device connects the Series 6 PLC to the serial bus of the Genius I/O. A Genius I/O serial bus may support up to 31 I/O devices, such as Genius I/O blocks, interface modules, and hand-held displays. Additionally, it supports a broad range of Genius I/O blocks and enables customized communication among Series 6 PLC and Genius I/O devices attached to the bus. The IC660CBB902 Bus Controller is a part of the Phase B series of improved bus controllers systems. It is compatible with buses operating at any baud rate other than the usual 153.6 KiloBaud rate and with a maximum connection length of less than 2000 (feet) ft. Additionally, the IC660CBB902 Bus Controller is suitable with buses equipped with Resistive Temperature Detector (RTD) blocks or Genius I/O blocks with more than 64 I/O bits, Series 6 PLC systems equipped with CPU-to-CPU communication, and systems equipped with bus redundancy.
 The IC660CBB902 Bus Controller by GE Fanuc includes built-in diagnostics that send diagnostic information to the CPU automatically from Genius I/O blocks on the bus. The IC660CBB902 Bus Controller may be placed in any of the Series 6 CPU's I/O slots, in a standard or high-capacity I/O rack, or in a remote I/O rack (although this is not recommended). The IC660CBB902 Bus Controller features two LED status indicators (the "BOARD OK" LED and the "COMM OK" LED) as well as a portable monitor connection that provides access to all of the bus's devices. Additionally, the IC660CBB902 Bus Controller features four upper terminals for serial bus connections and three low connector jumpers (JP1, JP2, and JP3) for Genius I/O bus terminations.
