The EPSCPE100 controller is an enhanced standalone 1 GigaHertz Programmable Automation Controller designed by GE Fanuc Automation. This is a high-performance controller compatible with devices from PAC systems. The Controller is equipped with 1 MB of user memory and includes 4 Ethernet ports for running real-time deterministic control applications. This high-performance standalone controller meets the industry standards for robustness, reliability, and communication. The module also has a level 2 certification. Since the module is made to be mounted on a DIN rail, it is very easy to install. The EPSCPE100 also has an extended operating temperature range. The device comes with improved diagnostic features as compared to its earlier versions. The GE Fanuc EPSCPE100 programmable controller can be operated with a Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP), which works as redundancy support measurement and the protocol employs an Ethernet connection to establish a communication with different equipment. It can support a maximum of eight (8) connections through an OPC-US server, a Modbus TCP/IP, and an SRTP client. The module also supports the EDG mechanism with a maximum of sixteen (16) exchanges and a PROFINET connection with a maximum of eight (8) devices.
The EPSCPE100 programmable controller module includes a USB 2.0 port, useful for human-machine and printer interfaces. The users can use this module to program applications in a ladder diagram, a function block diagram, or structured text. The controller can support up to 512 program blocks with a maximum block size of 128 Kilobytes. It also supports auto-located symbolic variables and configurable data and program memory of 1 Megabyte. The module status indicator on the controller includes one (1) membrane pushbutton and two (2) LED indicators on the front panel. The push-button is used to toggle the PLC current.
