When you connect the ST-5112 module to your computer, you can use it as a sinking input. It has a voltage of 24 volts DC. This device can accept a voltage range from 18 to 28.8 volts DC. According to the module channels, the input voltage and current specifications are 24 volts direct current and 6.1 milliamperes, respectively. For the module channels with short circuit protection, the output voltage and current specifications are 24 volts DC and 0.5 amperes per channel, respectively. The ST-5112 module has a counter with a 32-bit resolution. The common type of this device is dual common. The channel type is a 2-channel source.

The GE Fanuc ST-5112 has a maximum off-state voltage of 7 volts DC, as well as a maximum off-state current rated at 1.0 milliamperes. The minimum on-state voltage for this device is 12 volts DC, while the minimum on-state current is 2.9 milliamperes. However, there is a limit to the maximum input frequency of 100 kilohertz for all modes, excluding the "encoder x 4" counting mode, which enables a maximum input frequency of 50 kilohertz.
