The ST-7518 is a field device with a DC supply of 24 volts. This device has eight (8) points and a 10-ampere ID type with status LEDs, or light emitting diodes. The ID type uses module address. The contacts have a maximum of 10 amperes current while the system power dissipation is a maximum of 18 milliamperes at a DC supply of 5 volts. There is 1 green/red LED and module status that is used as an indicator. Since there is only one LED indicator, then all the possible indications have a meaning. When the LED is OFF, this means that there is no power or expansion module, or the parameters have not been initialized yet. The green LED indicates an Fn-BUS connection, meaning that the Fn-BUS is operating normally. A flashing green Led indicates that the Fn-BUS is ready. In case of a flashing red LED light, this means that there is an Fn-BUS fault, meaning that somewhere in the line there is an Fn-BUS communication failure. Finally, a strong red LED light indicates that there is a device fault. For this fault, the whole device should be checked, and the fault must be corrected. The wiring of the device is a I/O cable that has a maximum length of 2.0 mm², or the equivalent of AWG 14. There are eight (8) pins on this device with 0 to 7 in number. All of them have a direct current (DC) supply of 24 volts or L1 passing through them. This module weighs approximately 64 grams, or 0.14 pounds. This product has physical dimensions that measure 12 mm x 99 mm x 70 mm, or the equivalent of 0.5 inches x 3.9 inches x 2.8 inches.
