The IC694ALG233 is a 16 single-ended input channel RX3i PacSystem analog current input module. Three (3) input ranges are changeable using configuration software for each input: 4 to 20 milliamperes, 0 to 20 milliamperes, and 4 to 20 milliamperes enhanced are the three different current ranges. 

Additionally, via its allocated program reference addresses, part number IC694ALG233 transmits the status of the module and the power supply to the CPU (central processing unit). In an RX3i system, the IC694ALG233 must be inserted in an I/O slot with a serial connector. There are no module jumpers to set on the IC694ALG233 module because it is configured using software. In the four (4) to twenty (20) milliamperes Enhanced Range, open-circuit detection is offered for all inputs. The state of the module can be easily determined by looking at the LEDs (light emitting diodes) that are emitted. ON indicates that everything is in order and that the module is properly configured. If the LED continues to blink rapidly, there is a problem with the setup data. A failed power-up diagnostics issue or a code execution error is indicated by slow blinking followed by OFF. OFF indicates that there is no power to the backplane, or that the program is not operating.

In the logic program, this module provides diagnostic point fault contacts, as well as firmware upgrades. Positive and negative rate of change alerts are featured, as well as a display of the module serial number, revision, and date code. Hot insertion/removal is also possible with this module.
