The GE Fanuc Emerson IC694MDL646 is a logic input module that includes sixteen inputs that can be positive or negative logic inputs and support a voltage rating range from 0 volts DC to 30 volts DC. These inputs are grouped into a well-isolated single group with a common power terminal. The inputs are labeled with green LED indicators to show the on/off status of inputs. The device employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 volts AC for one minute between logic and field sides and 250 volts AC continuously. This module can be easily mounted in any input or output slot of the RX3i system.

The IC694MDL646 draws a current of 80 milliamperes at a backplane voltage of +5 volts DC and 125 milliamperes at a backplane voltage of 24 volts DC. This unit supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5 percent to 95 percent and a vibration frequency range from 10 hertz to 500 hertz. The input module includes a hinged door that supports an insert in between the outside and the inside surfaces. The outside left edge of the insert is blue colored to show that this device is a low rating voltage module. The IC694MDL646 hinged door inside area includes the wiring details of the circuit and the outside area contains the identification detail regarding the circuit.
