The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695ALG112 is an analog voltage/current input module that can be used under the Rx3i PacSystem. This module provides twelve (12) input channels which are well isolated and can convert an analog signal to a digital signal with a resolution of 16 bits. The IC695ALG112 inputs can be programmed for either voltage or current input ranges: from 4 to 20 milliamperes, zero (0) to 20 milliamperes, and -20 to 20 milliamperes; from zero (0) to 10 Volts DC, -10 to +10 Volts DC, -5 to +5 Volts DC, zero (0) to 5 Volts DC, or from 1 Volt DC to 5 Volts DC. This module draws a current of 490 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC and a current of 310 milliamperes at a voltage of 3.3 Volts DC. The IC695ALG112 has three (3) LED indicators which are located on the faceplate to show the power state of this module.

The IC695ALG112 has a red/green LED indicator labelled “TB” which indicates the state of the terminal block. The IC695ALG112 supports a spring, box, extended spring, or extended box style front terminal block. The IC695ALG112 can be easily mounted in an RX3i universal backplane. This module provides diagnostics features and offers the user the ability to employ an external isolated power supply with a voltage of 24 Volts DC. The IC695ALG112 weighs approximately 360 grams (0.79 pounds) while shipping and operates at zero (0) to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) for industrial applications.

As an analog input module with eight single-ended input channels, the IC695ALG112 is a PACSystem RX3i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) module. It can accept voltage and current signals such as 0-10 VDC (unipolar), -10 to +10 VDC (bipolar), +/-5VDC, 0 to 5VDC, 1-5VDC, and 4- 20 mA. Analog to digital conversion (ADC) with a 16-bit resolution is built-in to transform data to either floating point or integer format. To include a proper readout in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and for making uses by control algorithms such as Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controller to implement automatic control, this module is typically used to interface instruments that generate the mentioned signals. There is no thermal derating on the IC695ALG112, and it comes with software-configurable filter choices including (8, 12, 16, 40, 250, 1000 )Hertz. These filter settings are used to assist deliver a more consistent reading and reduce swings. In a 32-bit field, conditioned data can be saved as an IEEE 32-bit or 16-bit integer. For a step change, the analog input of the module settles to 0.1 percent of the final value in 1.7 milliseconds. The module's specified input filter has an impact on this step change reaction. Specifically, 127 milliseconds for an 8 Hz filter, 67 milliseconds for a 12 Hz filter, 56 milliseconds for a 16 Hz filter, 21 milliseconds for a 40 Hertz filter, 3.1 milliseconds for a 250 Hz filter, and 0 milliseconds for a 1000 Hertz filter. Filters of 8, 12, 16, 40, 100, or 250 Hertz are available with the IC695ALG112 input module. For the input voltage, the input module's input impedance is less than 500 kiloohms. The module's maximum open circuit detection time is 1 second. The IC695ALG112 input module packs a lot of punch into a small box. The program is totally customizable and does not require the use of an external jumper. The module has a predictive diagnostics tool that performs error checks during startup and operation. Upgrades can be made using flash memory.
