The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695ALG508 is a configurable analog module that has eight (8) channels. The IC695ALG508 inputs can be configured using the Machine Edition program as RTD or resistance inputs. The IC695ALG508 includes a programmable notch filter from 2.3 to 28 Hertz per channel. The IC695ALG508 supports either 32-bit or 16-bit integer data input that can be set as floating-point IEEE. The IC695ALG508 can be removed or inserted under power and offers the possibility to select temperature units in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit. The IC695ALG508 can be easily installed in a universal RX3i backplane and provides a full autocalibration and on-board issue-checking. The IC695ALG508 supports two, three, and four-wire RTD types for each channel.

The IC695ALG508 has a red/green LED indicator labeled “TB” which indicates the state of the terminal block. The IC695ALG508 supports a spring, box, extended spring or extended box style front terminal block. The IC695ALG508 supports an input resistance range from 250 ohms to 4 kiloohms. The IC695ALG508 contains three (3) LED indicators located on the faceplate to show the module, field, and terminal block status. This module draws a current of 200 milliamperes at a voltage of +5 Volts DC and a current of 400 milliamperes at a voltage of +3.3 Volts DC. The IC695ALG508 dissipates an electrical power of 2.5 Watts. The IC695ALG508 employs the backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 1500 Volts between backplane and field sides and 250 volts between channels. The unit weighs approximately 230 grams (0.5 pounds) while shipping.

The IC695ALG508 is an input module. It is a type of isolated RTD input module. It is designed, and manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. It was manufactured to be used with X3i PACSystems mid-range controllers. Furthermore, it is meant to establish direct connection between 3-wire, and 2-wire RTD temperature sensors. This isolated RTD input module comes with 8 RTD isolated input channels. For use with different RTD, and resistance applications, each one of the input channels can be configured individually.

For backplane support, it comes equipped with PCI Bus. It only needs one slot of the rack for installation. Without any external help, this module can execute full diagnosis for errors. The self-diagnosis is meant to unearth short circuit errors, open wire errors. Its built-in alarms come with support for negative, and positive rate of change. 

The continuous voltage rating for channel-to-channel isolation is 250 volts alternating current on this RTD input module. The rating is 1500 volts alternating current for 1 minute. The calibrated accuracy on this module is 0.5%. The optimal operating temperature rating of this module is 25 degrees Celsius. Thirty-two (32) bits is the resolution rating. It supports both sixteen (16) bits integer input data format, and floating-point data format.
