The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695ECM850 is an Ethernet communication module that can be employed with RX3i CPUs. The module offers two RJ-45 and SFP cages with five MAC addresses and a single IP address. This module can support and operate with 100/1000 megabits per second single-mode or multi-mode fiber, and 10/100/1000 megabits per second copper connections. The IC695ECM850 occupies one slot only on a universal backplane with a PCI bus. This communication module includes a mini USB port that can be connected to a computer through a command-line interface. The device supports both the linear and the star topologies. This unit can be employed with CRU320, CPE305, CPE310, CPU320, and CPU315 RX3i CPUs.

This Ethernet interface module requires a current of 614 milliamperes at a voltage of 5 volts DC and a current of 840 milliamperes at a voltage of 3.3 volts DC. The IC695ECM850 includes ten LED indicators on the faceplate to show the module and communication status. This module contains an SD-card slot. The IC695ECM850 module supports the hot-swapping feature. This unit supports a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5 percent to 95 percent and a vibration frequency range from 10 hertz to 500 hertz.
