The IC695MDL664 is a Smart Digital Input Module that has 16 positive logic input channels divided in two groups of eight. The smart module supports field input power of 24 VDC. Every group of eight inputs is referenced to an isolated common connection. This module can be operated with a Box style terminal block and spring style terminal block. The input features of this smart digital input module are compatible with many input devices like push buttons, limit switches and electronic proximity switches. The current into an input point results in a logic 1 in the input status table (%I).

Sixteen dual LEDs are present in the IC695MDL664 which signify the On status, Off status, and fault status. There are two light emitting diodes i.e., S1 and S2 which shows the presence of field power for input channel groups and status of the terminal block. The module also records an extra terminal block and loss of terminal block texts to input/output fault table to report the terminal block status. The modules can do installation in any input/output slot of an RX3i system. This is a low voltage module which is indicated by its label of blue bands. It has selectable input filter time from 0.5 to 100 milliseconds. Multiple feature available on this IC695MDL664 module like presence of external sense resistor with open wire, short to DC- and short to DC+ with external sense resistor and external pull up resistor. It has backplane power consumption with +3.3 VDC of 95 milliamperes and 225 milliamperes with +5.1 VDC. The required input voltage is 18 VDC to 32 VDC with 24 Volts nominal.
