The GE Fanuc Emerson IC695PSA040 is a high capacity power supply that delivers a power of 40 Watts. The IC695PSA040 supports either an input voltage range from 100 Volts DC to 300 Volts DC or an input voltage range from 85 Volts AC to 264 Volts AC. The IC695PSA040 delivers three (3) different output voltages with different electrical powers: 3.3 Volts DC with an electrical power of 30 Watts, 5.1 Volts DC with an electrical power of 30 Watts and 24 Volts DC with an electrical power of 10 Watts. The IC695PSA040 includes single fuse protection. The IC695PSA040 has four (4) LED status indicators at the power supply front side. This power supply supports an overcurrent of 7 Amperes on the 5 Volt DC output and an overcurrent of 10 Amperes on the 3.3 Volt DC output.

The IC695PSA040 employs a backplane optical isolation offered by optocouplers to provide electrical isolation of 250 Volts between the input and the backplane. The IC695PSA040 power supply supports a maximum input power of 70 Watts with DC input and an inrush current of 4 Amperes within a short time of 250 milliseconds. The IC695PSA040 delivers a total electrical power of 40 Watts. The IC695PSA040 has a holdup time of 20 milliseconds. The universal RX3i backplane is compatible with the IC695PSA040 power supply. The RX3i PacSystem modules that exceed the output power capacity of the IC695PSA040 must be mounted on expansion backplanes, as the IC695PSA040 does not allow a higher capacity or redundancy. The output voltage ranges from 19.2 volts DC to 28.8 volts DC for a 24 volts DC nominal output, 5.0 volts DC to 5.2 volts DC for a 5.1 volts DC nominal output, and 3.1 volts DC to 3.5 volts DC for a 3.3 volts DC nominal output with an output current of 0 to 1.6 amperes at 24 volts DC, 0.6 amperes at 5.1 volts DC, and 0.9 amperes at 3.3 volts DC output. This power supply is equipped with a total of four LED (light emitting diode) indicators. These LED indicators are power, P/S error, over-temperature, and overload. It also features a hidden ON/OFF switch in the power supply hinged door. This switch does not interrupt incoming power and has a protruding tab that prevents the switch from being accidentally turned on or off. The terminal block on this supply supports a wire size of 14 to 22 AWG, and the terminals are screw-type terminals with a maximum torque limit of 0.5 Nm, or the equivalent of 4.4 lb-in. The maximum current per terminal is approximately 6 amperes. In case of overloading and short-circuiting, the supply automatically shuts down to prevent damage to itself and connected hardware. It is important to keep this power supply module in an area that will allow for proper ventilation.
