The IC693ALG223 is a 16-Channel Analog Current Input module by GE Fanuc Emerson. This module has 1 to 16 selectable, single-ended channels and input current ranges of 0 to 20 milliamperes, 4 to 20 milliamperes, and 4 to 20 milliamperes Enhanced (selectable per channel). The IC693ALG223 has an update rate of 13 milliseconds for all 16 channels and an absolute accuracy of +/- 0.25% of full scale at 25 degrees Celsius (+/- 0.5% of full scale over specified operating temperature range). Linearity is < 1 LSB from 4 to 20 milliamperes and < 1 LSB from 100 µA to 20 milliamperes. The IC693ALG223 has an isolation of 1500 Volts between field side and logic side, as well as a common mode voltage of 0 volts (single-ended channels). Cross-channel rejection is > 80 decibels from DC to 1 Kilohertz. Input impedance is 250 Ohms and input low pass filter response is 19 Hertz. Additional specifications for the IC693ALG223 include an external supply voltage range between 20 and 30 Volts DC and an external supply voltage ripple of 10%; internal power consumption is 120 milliamperes from the +5 volt bus on the backplane and 65 milliamperes from 24 Volt DC external user supply (in addition to current loop currents).

The IC693ALG223 has LED indicators for Module OK and User Supply OK. The Module OK LED provides module status information on power-up as follows: ON = status is OK and module is configured, OFF = no backplane power or software not running. When the LED is rapidly flashing, it is an indicator of no configuration data being received from the CPU. When there are slow flashes followed by off, this means that the module failed power-up diagnostics or encountered a code execution error. The User Supply OK LED indicates that the 24 Volt supply is within specifications, enabling the analog side of the module to function correctly.
